The candidate shall perform groundskeeping work, maintain and care for assigned landscaped areas. Cuts grass, repair damaged lawns, and prune trees and shrubs.
Lay out and tends flower beds or other decorative vegetation. The candidate shall also operate groundskeeping equipment such as riding lawn mowers, power edgers and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Mow lawns using hand and other large power equipment to maintain landscape. Maintains the original landscape plan by planting perennials, shrubs, and trees.
Trims edges around walls, flower beds, and use walking hand clippers and power edging tools.
Prune and shape shrubs and trees to provide optimum growth efficiency of plants and enhance beauty of grounds.
Spray lawns, shrubs, and trees for disease, weed, and insect control, and perform regular fertilization as needed, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Ensure the temple grounds, sidewalks, driveways, building entrances, and other assigned areas reflect the beauty, cleanliness, and sacred nature of the temple experience.
Responsible to see that all power equipment and machines are properly maintained.
Water lawn and garden areas.
Other duties as assigned.
