Job description

  • Design and imple men tation of all necessary additional proce dures required at all levels to enable the successful super vision, and management of the construction activities.
  • Manage construction efforts and be the construction repre sen tative of PMC with Client.
  • To plan, develop and organize construction effort to formulate the most cost-effective plan for timely completion within budget and to implement the execution of that plan.
  • Management of PMC construction personnel and other persons and / or entities reporting to him.
  • Provide input to project management and scheduling of all contractors, ensuring quality, schedule, pricing, and all other contractual obliga tions are maintained in a compliant manner.
  • Physi cally inspecting all works during construction to ensure quality and compliance with plans, speci fi ca tions, safety, health, environ mental and quality standards are maintained.
  • Defines the detailed construction plan in colla bo ration with the Project Management Team.
  • Colla bo rates and parti ci pates with the Design team in the verifi cation of the Design with parti cular regards to construction feasi bility & construc ta bility aspects.
  • Respon sible for imple men tation of the scope of work as related to instal lation design, construction / fabri cation, pre-commis sioning, load-out and offshore instal lation hook-up, offshore pre-commis sioning and commis sioning of the FPSO in confor mance with project speci fi ca tions, Scope of Work, and in accordance with the approved Project Schedule.
  • Monitor and report to Project Manager Project details, including progress, risks and oppor tu nities in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all changes to speci fi ca tions, work scope and drawings are documented
  • Colla bo rates with PM to review man-hours and duration forecasts to completion for construction activities.
  • Monitors the progress and obser vance of deadlines. Colla bo rates with the PM to identify and apply any corrective actions necessary for limiting devia tions from estimates.
  • Monitor construction produc tivity and schedule perfor mance and inves tigate reasons for less than satis factory perfor mance.
  • Provide recom men da tions and institute measures for impro vement by modifi cation to operating procedures / work instructions.

  • Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks throughout the Company.
  • Aids the PM in managing disputes with Vendors, Contractors and third parties.
  • Ensures the correct appli cation of the quality control plans, work safety provi sions and measures.
  • Prepare and maintain documen ta tions on construction.
  • Attend all company-organized training courses when invited.
  • To perform all tasks / activities relevant to the Company, assigned by Management as required.
  • Qualification

    Compe tency Requirements

    Engineering background (Mechanical / Structural / Subsea).

    Must possess advanced construction experience in offshore struc tures and / or submarine pipeline instal lation projects

    Teamwork.

    Opera tional problem solving.

    Focus on results

    Extensive commu ni cation skills.

    Managerial Experience : Minimum 8 years

    Technical Experience : Minimum 18 years of experience strictly in Oil & Gas Engineering

    Educa tional Quali fi cation : Minimum BSc / B.Eng. level in Engineering. A Master’s Degree is an added advantage. Offshore, Subsea certi fi ca tions are advantages.

    Lingu istic Skills : Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.
