Purpose of your role

The role requires a skill set that encompasses the full spectrum of business analyst activities through the project life cycle but with a particular attention on assessment of the as-is operating model and design & implementation of a to-be operating model for marketing operations capabilities and activities.

The role will involve interaction with a wide range of stakeholders and the Marketing management team. It will then require excellent relationship management and communication skills to ensure a superior service to our stakeholders is maintained.

Key Responsibilities

This role is for a Senior Business Analyst who can understand complex business processes and data issues. The ideal candidate should have the ability to analyse current as-is business process and support a future process.

The successful candidate will be expected to interact with the business community, seeking agreement on the allocated projects.

The successful candidate will have aspirations for the on-going continual improvement & deployment of Business Analyst best practices & standards.

Responsibilities include :

  • Planning and organisation of business analysis on projects throughout the project lifecycle to agreed timescales and budgets
  • Organisation and execution of requirements gathering workshops across multiple locations and business lines to understand and define current business process - including people and technology aspects
  • Capture & clarification of business requirements regarding to-be processes, including people and technology dimensions, through a range of analysis techniques
  • Analysis of data, reviewing and resolving discrepancies and drawing conclusions from the analysis
  • Capacity to play back conclusions and recommendations to a wider range of stakeholders
  • Supporting the project leads in their use and understanding of the data available through the project
  • Providing direct input into project timelines, estimation, action plans & risk management procedures whilst providing sound delivery approaches to meet business needs
  • Defining, designing and managing ways of testing proposed to-be operating models with the business and technology colleagues including, driving user acceptance criteria with the customer
  • Assisting with the operational implementation of the to-be solutions including completion of change impact assessments and creation of training materials
  • Interact & work with third party partners and suppliers as required
  • Essential skills :

  • Proven business analysis experience within a marketing environment with a track record of successful implementations & strong business relationships
  • Previous experience of working within a Financial Services firm and an appreciation of their regulated environments
  • Strong experience in business process re-engineering, analysis, user requirement gathering, gap analysis, cost benefit analysis, workshop facilitation & business case development
  • Strong stakeholder management and change management skills
  • Proven business analysis skills (and experience) across all phases, from discovery, design through to delivery
  • Strong experience working with an Agile methodology
  • Delivery and results focused with the ability to work in a challenging environment
  • Strong customer awareness & business support focus
  • Excellent inter-personal, communication, documentation, facilitation & presentation skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Desirable skills :

  • Practical experience of working with agile / dynamic development methodologies
  • Ideally, experience of working to a recognised quality methodology e.g. ISO 9000, CMM, PRINCE2, SSADM
  • Experience in matrix organisations
