About the Role
Planning and management of projects as well as focus on meeting project commitments and requirements, including cost, scope, timeline, quality, and communications with all stakeholders.
Cost Control :
Responsible for cost and schedule control and validating payment milestones with the marketing and finance departments before payment to subcontractors.
Project Planning, Delivery, and Closure :
Selects, manages and coordinates the implementation by teams and 3Ps.
Provides feedback to the Technical Manager and Service Delivery Manager on resource allocation, utilization, and release.
Responsible to ensure all client tools, processes and checklists are optimally utilized in the execution of all projects.
Plans all projects and facilitates the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
Resolves or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas.
Develops methods to monitor project or area progress, and provide corrective supervision as necessary.
Implements the Service Levels Agreements (SLAs) and customer requirements.
Project Resources Management :
Provides input into performance evaluation of all implementation teams and 3Ps.
Responsible for the Management of Project Team and External Stakeholders :
Interacts regularly with existing or potential clients to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving delivery.
Advocate on behalf of clients and represent clients' needs as appropriate to senior management.
Works cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes on projects.
Communication, Reporting, and Documentation :
Conduct project reporting, capturing and monitoring progress to clients and other stakeholders (e.g. Quality, Procurement, Sales, Finance and HR teams) at all phases of projects.
Responsible for scheduling and conducting client acceptance process on all projects.
Liaise with logistics manager for material delivery and has overall ownership of material management.
Attend periodic project meetings.
Minimum Education : B.Sc / HND in Project Management, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or Telecommunications.
Any relevant post-graduate degree will be an advantage.
Minimum Working Experience : 3 years’ of increasingly responsible experience, including experience successfully managing various power-related projects.
Required Certification(s) :
Any relevant professional certification, with a preference for PMP and Prince 2.
Must possess high-level project management knowledge areas; planning, cost, quality, time, and customer satisfaction, and their application
Ability to work with project management tools; Microsoft Project
Great understanding and application of Microsoft Excel
