Our client is one of the largest producers of dairy products in the world, with respect to milk production volume and turnover.
They currently have a vacancy for a Finance Controller at their Sub-Saharan Africa regional office in Lagos.
The finance Controller is saddled with the responsibility of overseeing and providing guidance to accountants in subsidiary market as well as running accounting and tax for the regional office.
The Finance Controller Reports to The Financial Manager.
Closing and consolidation of accounts, carrying out provisions and accruals
Payroll questions and handling of monthly salaries
Assist Finance Manager with business controlling tasks. These include :
Consolidating financial forecast
Support with business case
Ad hoc analysis
Prepare documentation, reporting and analyses for tax, statutory and internal audit. Assist with resolution of tax, statutory and internal audits.
Cash flow management and budgeting
Risk and compliance questions
Credit control and working capital
Banking payments and petty cash. Management of vendor invoices.
Functional competencies :
A profound theoretical understanding of accounting models and tools combined with a strong in-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
Knowledge in leading ERP systems, preferably SAP
Sound knowledge of Nigerian Tax Law
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Identify control weaknesses, communication to management and propose improvements to tighten and enhance controls and mitigate risk.
Relevant academic background (B.Sc or M.Sc degree) supported with a professional accounting certification.
3 years’ experience in senior level finance or accounting roles.
Experiencefrom a FMCG / Food / Dairy is aprerequisite.
Fluencyin English required. French is seen as anadvantage
