About the role We are seeking to recruit a HR professional to the role of Regional HR Officer to support our Country Programmes accross the Africa Division to enable them to deliver their strategy through effective people management.
The role will be based in Abuja, Nigeria, as a member of a dispersed team with members hosted in different country offices.
This role is recruited on a national contract basis. Reporting to the Regional Head of People Africa, you will work within a global HR team to provide prompt professional customer service to Country Programmes, and in so doing, oversee the quality assurance of the outcomes in alignment with Christian Aid policies, labour laws and best practice.
You will support the Africa HR Function to monitor implementation of work plans and report on the performance in critical HR areas to support the delivery of the people strategy, as well as develop and generate reports that promote evidence based decision making.
In this role, you will provide both transactional and advisory support to managers and country HR staff. You will be a key resource to the Head of People for the implementation of strategic interventions and projects.
You will contribute to the improvement of HR processes to maintain the HR team’s excellent and efficient service.
You will ensure that Country HR representatives are trained in the use of HR Systems. About you To be successful in this role, you will need to be quick, approachable and adaptable.
You will demonstrate an appreciation of organizational corporate objectives and be adaptable to organizational culture.
You will also possess demonstrable experience of providing excellent customer service on a timely basis to meet business needs and openness to learning.
You are in possession of a qualification in a HR-related discipline or the equivalent HR experience coupled with a sound knowledge of Employment Law as well as HR best practice.
