    to-air, Hausa language entertainment and lifestyle satellite television channel produced by and for northern Nigerians and devoted entirely to the Hausa speaking peoples of Nigeria, West Africa and around the world.

    Equal Access creates customized communications strategies and outreach solutions that foster peace building and social cohesion, women & girls' empowerment, youth life skills & livelihoods, human rights, health, as well as civic participation and good governance in the developing world.

    Summary

    The Radio Producer, will be mainly responsible for overseeing the implementation of a grant, presently called, the Strengthening Media Support for Community Accountability project (SMS CAM)However, in a dynamic and small NGO it is expected that from time-

    to-time, the post holder will support other activities of Equal Access International, as directed by the line-manager.

    Essential Job Functions

    Duties will include but not limited to :

    Generating and researching ideas for programmes and pitching for commissionsDeveloping content, writing material for scripts, bulletins and linksSourcing potential contributors and intervieweesSelecting music appropriate to the programme, the audience and the stationProducing pre-

    production briefings for presenters, reporters, technical staff and other contributorsManaging the logistics of getting people, resources and equipment together at the right place at the right timeUndertaking editing, interviewing and reporting duties as necessaryPresenting programmes or managing presenters for both pre-

    recorded and recorded outputChecking that copyrights are cleared and understanding media lawConverting text, graphics, video and audio files into other formatsContributing to, and making use of, an archive of audio resources which can be re-

    usedResponding to audience feedback, referring on to other departments as necessaryProducing and making use of user-generated contentUsing technology, such as Cool Edit Pro, Pro Tools and Adobe Audition, for editing and production purposesEnsuring that health and safety standards and trade union requirements are met.

    Other Duties :

    Participation in weekly production meetings to review programmes delivered and provide input into the planning of future programmesProviding feedback to researcher / reporters and making suggestions to contentDirecting and producing the programme according to the production scheduleSupport and work with Anti-

    Corruption Program OfficerProvide inputs for weekly, monthly and quarterly reportSupport feed research M&E of anti-corruption activities.

    Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

    Knowledge and Experience

    Education (recognized technical certifications, OND, HND, ) in Media and Communication or related fieldAt least 3 years experience in structured media organizationExcellent oral and written Hausa and English skillsKnowledge of operation guidelines for INGOKnowledge of corruption and anti-

    corruption issues in Northern NigeriaCreativity and strong organizational skillsExcellent oral and written skillsAbility to work well under pressureComputer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access) and MIS systemAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication and social skillsFluency in English and Hausa is required
