    Job Description

    Under the responsibility of the general coordinator, you will support the management of an approximate 3 million euros yearly budget involving two institutional donors (OFDA and GMOFA) funding the Nigeria mission.

    More specifically, your responsibilities are to :

    Develop and implement the financial procedures and guidelines related to the missionEnsure internal financial procedures, systems, policies and controls are applied and complied with throughout the operations by all staffPrepare financial reports and donor budgetsMonitor overall budget consumption according to donors’ constraints and update regularly the Budget Follow Up toolSupervise directly three national staff and have a functional link with the logistician / administrator based in DamboaSupervise the overall recruitment and training of the finance department staffsEnsure MdM compliance with tax laws and if necessary, improve the procedures and rulesEnsure MdM Salary Payments are in line with Nigerian Labour and are completed in an accurate and timely manner, in coordination with the HR departmentPrepare, organise and supervise audits at field level, with the support of the headquarterEnsure a harmonized financial organization and ensure accurate documentation of all financial transactionsLiaise with INGO finance directors incountry and actively participate in interagency coordination meetingsProvide strong oversight and capacity building to local partner activitiesEnsure the proper earchiving of the partners financial reports and accountancyBe responsible for the cash provision and safe management between the different programs / basesEnsure that payments are made in a timely and secure mannerBe responsible for the soft accountancy of all sites for both accounting and donor allocationCoordinate the closure of monthly accountancy in coordination with the HQContribute to the country monthly report on the financial part

    Profile

    Experience of 4 - 5 years minimum in a similar positionExperience in multidonors’ budgets and multicountries grantsTraining and capacitybuilding experienceExcellent Excel skills, knowledge of Saga is an assetAbility to work under a minimum of supervisionCapacity to take initiatives, organizational skills, rigorAbility to classify and to manage prioritiesListening and diplomacy skillsAbility to work in unstable and volatile context Languages : fluent English

    Description of Post

    Under the direct supervision of the medical coordinator, you are responsible for the implementation of quality services in the field.

    You manage the operational and technical aspects of the implementation of primary health care and sexual and reproductive health services, as well as the CMAM programme in the different sites.

    More Specifically, Your Responsibilities

    Provide technical support to clinic staff :

    Ensure use and respect of medical protocols through observation and supervision of medical and paramedics staffConduct specific trainings if neededPlan and implement thematic capacity building or specific trainings according to the identified needsEnsure the implementation onthejob trainings sessions by medical technical advisors towards health national staffParticipate in establishing / improving referral systemSupervise drugs stock management in clinics implementing MdM pharmaceutical policies and closely liaising with the pharmacistConduct regular performance appraisals with directly supervised staff (quarterly basis)

    Manage the team of medical supervisors and technical advisors / trainers :

    Organize the weekly schedule of clinic teams to ensure the smooth running of the activitiesEnsure that medical and paramedics staff of clinics respect their assigned tasksParticipate in recruitment process of clinic staff and other medical staffEnsure field teams are trained on and do follow MdM procedures relating to pharmaceuticals and data collection

    Lead on field level coordination :

    Ensure good coordination of field teams with other actors in the same areaOn request of medical coordinator, support / lead partnership development with other health actors

    Participate in reporting activities and communication :

    Prepare a weekly activity reportCompile epidemiological reports for inclusion in medical reports or any other relevant reportsParticipate in MdM internal meetings and attend to external medical meetings upon request

    Profile

    Doctor or nurse with Master's Degree in relief / development or related fieldExperience with an international NGO working in emergency contexts, managing programmes, within the health sector.

    You are responsible of every medical aspect of the program.

    More specifically, your responsibilities are to :

    Supervise the implementation of MdM’s activities, proactively monitoring the context and health response, subsequently sharing any proposition in case of context changeLead the development of the general strategy on medical activities with the general coordinator, HQ referent and the teamReact to any change by adapting the program if necessary and conduct rapid health assessments when requestedParticipate to the monitoring on a regular basis and set up corrective measures in case of needSupervise and provide support to the medical teamBe responsible for ensuring the team capacity buildingSupport and supervise the health programme coordinatorSupervise the data base officer to ensure that all data from the field reaches in a timely mannerIdentify needs of medical staff, draft job profiles and validate recruitment from a technical point of viewConduct regular performance appraisals with directly supervised staff (quarterly basis)Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the medical purchase process in close collaboration with the logistics coordinatorEnsure the supervision of the pharmacyParticipate to the different MdM meetings and to external medical meetings especially on health and nutrition ClusterLead on liaison with the MoH authorities and with health actorsBe responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the medical programmeAnalyse the medical data received on a weekly basis and submit weekly reportsParticipate in the writing of donor’s activity reports and proposals.
