    Main Functions

    Promote safety within area of specialtyProvide a very high level of quality expertise in inspection disciplines such as rotating equipment, instrumentation and electrical equipment, fixed equipment or Non-

    Destructive Examination (NDE) ()Advise on all quality matters associated with procurement and installation of equipmentMonitor production processes and perform surveillance activities in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

    Coordinate and oversee activities of 3rd party and / or Contractor source inspectorsPerform surveillance activities, quality inspection activities in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)Provide direction to suppliers on quality management.

    Review and evaluate Contractor’s and Suppliers’ quality documents for accuracy and adequacyManage interfaces and coordination between Suppliers, Contractors, Quality Supervision and other Project Team disciplines (, Construction)Lead development and execution of detailed oversight program for high criticality activities or critical equipment inspections.

    Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), final inspection release activities, review of supplier Quality Control documents and support closure of punch list itemsKeep Quality supervision updated with status of quality issues

    Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership / expertise in quality inspection activities, make judgments and decisions the technical and physical adequacy of associated equipment and systemsProvides input to and validate Contractor’s / Supplier procedures for inspection and for testing / examining componentsGenerate, review and revise operational procedures for inspection and test equipmentInterface with Quality and Engineering disciplines to provide inspection and testing expertise in the development and review of drawings, procedures and Project plansSupport project with the development of method statements and / or examination technique recommendations for equipment inspections;
  • travel to construction and / or fabrication site when requested to review and make technical advice for compliance with specified requirementsCoordinate activities of 3rd party and Contractor’s inspectors within discipline, in conjunction with Supplier’s Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA / QC) teamUtilize Quality Management expertise to perform audits and / or assessments of Contractors / Supplier implementation of inspection activities and document deficienciesPerform supplementary inspections and verifications in accordance with requirements of the Inspection and Testing Plan (ITP) and the Project Surveillance Plan(s)Provide early warning of potential quality problems and the expertise to avoid / resolve them

    Job Requirements

    Bachelor's or Associates degree in Engineering or Science preferred10+ years’ experience executing project construction or quality assurance / control of procurement or construction activitiesManufacturing, fabrication or construction experience related to project scopeRecent experience in selected inspection disciplineWilling and able to business travel (domestic / overseas) to project sites to provide various levels of support.

    Job Description

    Develop, maintain and implement a comprehensive Operations Technical Competence and Development and Assurance curriculum across the entire hierarchy of Operations department based on the A&P scheme to ensure that operations staff can be progressed based on learnt and experience-

    based competencies commensurate with their responsibilities.Implement a refresher program based on the A&P scheme and on contemporary developments and lessons learnt in the plant and in industry, to refresh and maintain the professional competencies of senior operations personnel including shift operations leadership.

    Supervise competency based progression through the Assessment and Progression (A & P) Schemes 1&2 for Operators / Supervisors to ensure clear understanding of the daily routine / nonroutine operation of the plant to meet competence minimum staff manning the plant.

    Develop and train all plant Operators / Supervisors to become competent in Gas testing as Authorized Gas Safety Tester (AGST) and to be proficient in the process equipment preparation under the permit to work system.

    Review and assess performance of the A&P Schemes to fully encompass technical and operational changes from LFI, MOC against Competency Framework Profiles.

    Develop and coordinate computer based training and tool box presentations as part of the management of change process, learning from incident, and any other improvement initiatives on plant assets for all Operators to meet the situation awareness philosophy.

    Perform Competence Assurance testing on Panel and Field Supervisors / Operators on the use of monitoring and control tools to adequately respond to process upsets and emergencies in order to avoid production lossesDevelop and implement specific training packages (ESP, Gas GAME) for all POx teams in line with Operation’s Reliability tools and proactive monitoring techniques in the field and panel to mitigate the Human error counts on the plant Operation.

    Coordinate the FIT / Emergency response training for the shifts with HSEQ fire team to achieve Emergency response readiness for the assets.

    Support Panel or Field Operators in carrying out their required tasks during major process upset or emergency situations to enhance timely recovery and stability of process conditions
