    Malaria Consortium is one of the world’s leading non-profit organisations specialising in the comprehensive prevention, control and treatment of malaria and other communicable diseases among vulnerable and under privileged populations.

    We increasingly find our work on malaria can be effectively integrated with other similar public health interventions for greater impact and therefore expanded our remit to include child health and neglected tropical disease interventions.

    Job Description

    The position holder will lead the development, working with the project team and STTA, of the donor's strategy on health systems strengthening using malaria as an entry point into the health system at Federal, State and LGA levels.

    He / She will be the focal point for the DFID health systems programme to ensure coordination and harmonisation

    Requirements

    The successful candidate will have :

    Excellent skills in public health, and in particular related to malariaStrong analytical abilityExcellent writing and presentation skillsManagement of high performing teams, including ability to delegate efficiently and technically support teamsMentoring and coaching skills with respect to junior staffStrong skills in negotiating with and engaging Ministry of Health Officials at all levels of the health systemAbility to work in a multicultural teamResults-

    oriented attitude to workExcellent time management skillsAbility to work independently with little supportPractical organisational skills with the ability to manage a fluctuating workload, prioritise and re-

    Job Description

    The Project Manager will steer project implementation through the state teams and ensuring value-for-money. He / she will provide oversight for programme management at state level and implementing partners.

    He / She will provide the oversight for the administration of the project’s national office and will be the liaison between the donor and national project partners.

    Requirements

    The successful candidate will have :

    Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, International Development or related disciplineMid-level management experience on large sized health projects in NigeriaOver 5 years working experience in international projectsExperience managing at least one project for an external government clientAt least three years’ experience managing teams of 5 or moreExperience using value-

    for-money frameworks and / or working on performance-based contractsExperience in project and financial management with a proven track record of timely submission of high quality project deliverablesFamiliar with the Nigeria health system
