Conventional milk cartons are an unbreakable improvement over glass milk bottles, but the introduction of the Tetra Pak aseptic beverage container in the late 1950's was revolutionary for the food and beverage industries.
Tetra Pak which takes its name from the original tetrahedron-shaped cartons it developed manufactures and markets food packaging containers, filling systems, and distribution equipment for industrial customers in more than 170 countries.
Its coated-paperboard boxes are used to hold dry, wet, cold, and shelf-stable foods and beverages. The privately-owned company is the largest subsidiary of holding company Tetra Laval International.
Overview of the Position :
The automation engineer would be actively responsible for design, implementation, testing and commissioning of automation solutions.
The incumbent would be supporting the Market companies with developing automation strategies and executing automation projects.
He would provide necessary technical support and service to our customers. He would also be expected to support for automation pre project costing and sales activities
Primary Responsibilities :
Coordination, promotion and sales of our automation products and services.Development and commissioning of plant automation systems (hardware and software) as part of an overall production solution combined by process and automationCoordination with Projects teamTechnical support, commissioning and troubleshooting activities remote and / or at siteImplementation of software upgradesKnowledge of SQL databases, SQL Scripting, networks and windows environmentPrepare and perform FAT tests with end customersParticipate in writing and reviewing function diagrams and function specificationsPerform Hardware configuration, system setup and tests of configurations.
Participate and contribute in customer meetingsCreate automation related documentation for projects.Able to understand and review electrical drawingsPanel testing with panel vendorsKnowledge of field instrumentationAutomation network topologiesParticipate in plant commissioningCollect market info and create cluster PDNsData collection and reporting of automation install baseDrive automation upgrades salesCarry out automation upgradesConduct automation training for customer personnelDevelop the automation Service Concept
BSC or BTech Degree in EngineeringTechnical backgroundFood manufacturing experience is essentialProject knowledgeEnglish language proficiencyWillingness to travel2-
3 years proven ability in automation engineeringKnowledge of SAP is an added advantagePLC programming (Siemens & Allen Bradley) experience is critical
